Sam and Maddie Have Landed In Korea!

Not long after we arrived in Korea Russ had a wonderful idea of inviting his nieces, Sam and Maddie, to visit us for an extended period of time.   Since they are both awesome kids I was immediately on board with this idea and after talking to their parents we began to make plans for their visit.  On every adventure we have gone on in the last year we have discussed whether we would take Sam and Maddie to that place when they were visiting.  Therefore, you can imagine our excitement when they arrived the beginning of last week.

They look good for having traveled 14 hrs.
Unfortunately, the day after they arrived Russ and I both had other previously scheduled events that we had to attend.  This left all four girls at home to spend lots of quality time getting caught up.  We took a picture before a few of our events.
The second day they were here started off with a hike up a mountain behind our house and some exercising at the top.  They were great sports because it poured on us for most of the hike and workout.
My friend and her son joined us on this crazy adventure up the mountain.  Here we are at the top.
One of the things have I been wanting to do since we arrived over a year ago was go to an FC Seoul soccer game at the World Cup Stadium.  There was only one scheduled while they were here and it was for two days after they arrived.
Their soccer games, like their baseball and basketball games, involve lots of entertainment.  The kids were cheering here to get their pictures put on the big screen.  Taylor actually did get her picture on it.  She was so excited to see her picture up there she had no idea what to do.
This man proposed during the half time.
Riding the subway for the first time.
We went and saw a martial arts comedy show.
Maybe the martial arts show wasn't the best idea for this one.  :)
Trying a new kind of ice cream cone.

Our first week flew by with lots of sightseeing, shopping, trying new foods and a ton of giggling.  They have both been great sports about learning the culture and trying new things.  We are having a wonderful time with them and are looking forward to many adventures over the next two weeks.
