While Russ was deployed Lucy began to ask many questions about what would happen if she died. It was clear that she was very convicted about sins in her life and realized that she was imperfect and wanted to be free from the punishment for those sins. She asked God's forgiveness and thanked Him for sending His Son to die for her on November 29, 2011. Walking through this journey with her was a highlight of my life as a mother. She wanted to wait until daddy came home before she made the decision public through baptism. And so, in February Russ had the opportunity to baptize Lucy.
